Red Sox Beat Ray 19-2 Thursday

The Boston Red Sox’s offense looked in midseason form on Thursday, March 2nd. They banged out 20 hits including 5 homers as the Red Sox beat the Tampa Bay Rays 19-2 in Spring Training action from Florida.

Featuring a lineup that will closely resemble their opening day lineup, the Red Sox received 2 hits each from Dustin Pedroia, Brock Holt, Hanley Ramirez, Jackie Bradley Jr. and Pablo Sandoval. Bradley Jr. had 2 homers, and Hanley Ramirez, Bryce Bentz and Steve Selsky blasted home runs.

Eduardo Rodriguez started the game for the Red Sox and pitched 2 strong innings. He didn’t allow a hit or walk, and struck out 2.

The Boston Red Sox play another Spring Training game Friday afternoon against the Atlanta Braves at 1PM. 2016 Cy Young Award winner Rick Porcello gets the start for the Red Sox. You can hear the game on AM 1370 WDEA.
