Red Sox Beat O’s 8-7

The Boston Red Sox defeated the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday afternoon 8-7 in Spring Training baseball. The Red Sox banged out 14 hits, including 3 hits by Travis Shaw who was 3-3 with 2 RBI. Xander Bogaerts and Hanley Ramirez were each 2-2 with a RBI.

Clay Buchholz making his first start since July only went 1.1 innings allowing 4 runs, 1  of which was earned on 3 hits. He walked 3 and struck out 2.

The Red Sox are now 3-2 in Spring Training action, while Baltimore is winless 0-6-1. The Red Sox play Monday afternoon, March 7th against Tampa Bay. Henry Owens will make his second start of the Spring for the Red Sox.

The next game that will be broadcast on WDEA AM 1370 is Saturday, March 12th when the Red Sox take on the Florida Marlins at 1 PM.
