The Boston Red Sox beat the Tampa Bay Rays Sunday afternoon 4-3 avoiding the sweep and ending Tampa's 8 game winning streak

Rick Porcello went 7,2 innings allowing 7 hits and 3 earned runs while striking out 6. He didn't walk anyone. He allowed his first homer all season, having gone 34.2 innings without giving up a homer until today to Denard Span.
