The Boston Red Sox came from behind on Friday, June 9th, scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th inning to beat the Detroit Tigers 5-3.

Mitch Moreland was 3-4 with a double, and home run. It was his 8th homer of the season and 17th double.

Jackie Bradley Jr. was 2-4 with a home run and 3 RBI's. His 2 run homer in the bottom of the 8th were the game winning runs. It was his 8th home run of the season, and he has now hit 4 home runs in his last 13 games.

Craig Kimbrel pitched a scoreless 9th, for his 18th save of the season, and 28th consecutive save at Fenway Park.

Matt Barnes picked up the win in relief, pitching the 8th inning. Brian Johnson started the game for the Red Sox and pitched 4.1 innings, allowing 8 hits, 3 runs and struck out 2 and walked 1.
