The Boston Red Sox are back in 1st place, tied with the New York Yankees after beating the Baltimore Orioles in Fenway Park Thursday night, May 17th, winning 6-2. The Red Sox are the 1st team to win 30 games in the majors.

David Price pitched a complete game allowing 5 hits, 2 earned runs, striking out 8 and not allowing a walk. He was within 1 strike of having a shutout before Manny Machado blasted a homer over the Green Monster in the 9th inning.

Mookie Betts was 3-4, scoring 2 runs and leads the American League with a .364 batting average.

JD Martinez hit a 2 run homer in the 1st inning. He now has 4 homers in his last 5 games, 8 in his last 15 and 13 on the season.
