The National Weather Service Center in Caribou has continued the Red Flag Warning for Interior and Coastal Hancock County, Central and Coastal Washington County and Southern Penobscot County from 10 AM to 6 PM on Saturday April 16th.

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity and warm temperatures will create dangerous fire weather conditions.

On Friday, April 15th firefighters from, Bar Harbor Mount Desert, Tremont, Southwest Harbor, Trenton, Ellsworth, Hancock and Lamoine and the Maine Forest Service responded to a fire in Bar Harbor that went from a barn to a shred and into the woods.
