Did you know that this coming Saturday is "National Mustard Day?' It is and the folks at  Raye's Mustard Mill in Eastport will be celebrating with a big open house and barbecue!

It's a great excuse to visit a beautiful coastal town in Washington County.  Raye's Mustard is located at 83 Washington Street in Eastport, and they'll be dishing out hot dogs and sausage.  All proceeds will go to the Eastport Memorial Nursing Facility and the Shead High School Boosters Club!

Bring your favorite recipe featuring mustard and you may win something!

As I was spreading the mustard on my sandwich this past weekend I was surprised when my daughter's boyfriend, who was born and raised Downeast, did not know that Raye's Mustard was produced here in Maine. Raye's Mustard has been produced in Washington County since 1900 and the company is still be guided by it's namesake, Kevin and Karin Raye. The company boasts that it's "America's last remaining 100% authentic stone-ground must mill in North America."
