Rain and Heavy Winds Causing Trouble

Today's heavy rainfall has caused numerous flooding with many roads impassable. As of 3:30 PM according to the Bucksport Fire Department's Facebook page there is no access to Bucksport from Ellsworth and traffic is being turned around by the Orland Fire Department at Route 1 and 15. Elsewhere there are numerous flooded roads including High Street in Ellsworth, Broadway in Bangor near Broadway Park and more. Be safe and if you can't see the bottom of the road, don't try and drive through the puddles!

Emera Maine is reporting a little over 9300 customers without power as of 3:55 PM, with more than half in Hancock County.

Rain is forecast to continue through the night in Bangor and in Hancock County, ending in the morning. Flood warnings are in effect through Thursday morning. As of 3 PM Bangor had received 4.96 inches of rain and Bar Harbor 4.17 inches
