Power Outages From March 8 Storm

Power outages are starting to climb Thursday morning, March 8th for Emera Maine customers, especially those in Hancock and Washington Counties. As of 7:20 AM there were a total of 2281 Emera Maine customers without power, with the vast majority Downeast.

Remember to never touch a downed power line or a tree in contact with a downed line. Don't drive over a downed line as it may still be energized. Motorists are urged to slow down or move over and change lanes, when possible, if approaching utility crews working on roadways.
Customers who use generators or alternate heating sources are reminded to ensure they are used in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines at all times.
