As of 8:30 PM on Wednesday, October 22nd, there were 897 Emera Maine customers without power, with the majority in the Greater Bangor area. To view the latest live outage and restoration map, click HERE.

According to an Emera Maine press release issued earlier Wednesday, “The storm is expected to have the greatest impact from about 8:00 tonight until noon Thursday, and we anticipate isolated weather related power outages throughout the day today,” said Lisa Martin, Manager of Line & Meter Operations. “Wet, heavy leaves can weigh on tree limbs causing them to break and fall into power lines. Soft ground conditions also contribute to the potential for damage to the power system if nearby trees lose their footing.”

Remember that you should always avoid fallen power lines and trees near or touching them.
