From Emera Maine

Greatly improved weather conditions are helping Emera Maine crews with their restoration efforts today. In addition our team of workers has been joined by more than 60 additional line workers from Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and southern Maine.

The damage, especially in Hancock and Washington counties, has been significant with large trees and tree limbs bringing down lines and several broken poles which are time consuming to replace. Our goal is to restore the greatest number of customers at a time so our focus is on those circuits serving the largest numbers of customers and then move down the line restoring others as safely and quickly as we are able.
