Bangor Hydro Electric line crews assisted by crews from out of state and Canada have made amazing progress in restoring service to those without power. At 12 noon, there were 1,551 customers without power, but as of 9 PM, the outages have been reduced to just more than 350 customers.

According to the latest update from Bangor Hydro, as of 9 pm on Monday, December 30th 352 customers were without power in the Bangor Hydro Electric Service territory. There were 195 customers in Washington County, 15 customers in Penobscot County and 172 customers in Hancock County.

Line crews and tree trimming crews are working around the clock to restore power to everyone as soon as possible.

Customers are asked to please don’t come up to line crews in the field and to ensure that if they are using generators that they are properly installed so they don’t backfeed into the system and are ventilated so as to negate any risks from carbon monoxide poisoning.

Customers may report outages or ask questions by calling Bangor Hydro's Customer Service Centers at 1-800-440-1111. Outages may also be reported at bangorhydro.com or the mobile site at bhe.com.m.
