Power Outage Update Monday 1/6 (Updated)

The rain, freezing rain, and wind as expected have caused power outages for customers in the Emera Maine (formerly Bangor Hydro) service district.

4 PM A great job by the line crews! Emera Maine is reporting 495 customers without power. At 4 PM there were 140 customers in Hancock County, 43 customers in Penboscot County and 95 customers in Washington County without power

As of 11 AM Emera Maine is reporting 3571 customers without power, which is down from over 10,000 this morning. At 11 AM there were 40 customers in Hancock County, 1793 in Penobscot County and 1173 in Washington County.

As of 5:30 AM, Emera Maine is reporting 3298 customers without power, including 1167 in Hancock County, 1174 in Penobscot County and 947 customers in Washington County.

You can view the latest power outage map. Emera Maine is expecting that power will be restored throughout the area by late morning or early afternoon, although additional outages may affect restoration times.
