The heavy snow has let up, but you need to be careful driving, as with all the sleet last night, there is a layer of slush/ice at the bottom of the snowpack. This is really heavy snow, as the frozen rain and sleet have added to the weight of the snow.

Many, or most schools are cancelled for the day, and Ellsworth Police report slick travel and blowing snow reducing visibility. I know it's tempting to let everything stay, and not shovel, or snow blow everything, but it's supposed to get very cold tonight, lows around 1 above in the Bangor area, and 3-9 in the Ellsworth-Bar Harbor area, so everything will freeze.
