Pothole Season Has Come Early

Let's face it, one of the beautiful parts of living in Maine is that we get to enjoy all the seasons. There's Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall, but what the Chamber of Commerces forget to mention is Pothole, Mud and Mosquito/Black Fly seasons! If you have lived here for any time, you know that Maine really is a 7 Season State!

You just have to drive up and down the roads now, to know that Pothole Season has arrived, and a good 4 to 6 weeks early too! The really cold temperatures, followed by the January thaw, and ice and further cold temperatures have played havoc with the roads! Be sure you pay attention, especially at dark, because some of these potholes are DEEP! Road crews are putting out cold patch, but that's only a temporary fix, at best, and any further rain will just cause the cold patch to wash away.
