A traffic stop conducted by Trooper Jason Wing in the town of Bethel led to the finding and seizure of more than 4lbs of marijuana and an indoor growing operation.

At about 7:45 PM on Sunday, November 9th, Trooper Wing spotted a vehicle operating with no tail lights. He located that vehicle at a home on East Bethel Road. The operator, Keith Behan (39) was found to be in violation of bail conditions for a previous offence and was arrested. The owner of the residence, Ashley Hautaniemi (30), was a passenger in Behan’s vehicle.

The marijuana and the growing operation were found in the residence. A total of 14 live plants and 3 to 4 pounds of processed marijuana were discovered. Trooper Wing was assisted by Oxford County Deputies Cayer and Welch. The case is being turned over to the District Attorney’s office for review and charges.
