Make it 2 in a row as the Boston Red Sox dominated the New York Yankees on Saturday night, winning 8-0

Boston jumped out early with a two run lead in the second inning off of Yankee starter Michael Pineda.  The Sox would later chase him from the contest in the sixth inning with two more runs, this time on the efforts of a Jackie Bradley Jr triple and a single by Mookie Betts.  More runs would come seventh, including David Ortiz’s sixth home run of the season and his second in as many days.

Rick Porcello was dominant once again and lowered his ERA to 2.76 for the season.  He lasted seven innings, allowing just five hits and a walk and struck out six Yankees.  The win gives him five for the month of April which leads the majors.

Boston finishes the first month of the season with a 14-10 record and they currently find themselves in second place in the division, just a half a game behind the Baltimore Orioles.  The series wraps up Sunday night as David Price takes the mound against Nate Eovaldi. You can hear the game on AM 1370 WDEA with the pregame starting at 7:20 and 1st pitch at 8:05 PM
