Porcello Loses For 17th Time [VIDEO]

Baseball is a tough business. After winning the Cy Young Award last season, Sox pitcher Rick Porcello has now lost for the 17th time this season..

The Tampa Bay Rays got out of Boston with a 4-1 win Sunday afternoon. Combine that result with a Yankee win and the Sox lead goes down to 3.5 games in the AL East.

Porcello actually pitched well for four innings but then gave up four hits, a walk and two runs in the 5th.

Meanwhile, the Sox offense went dormant again - just five singles.

The Sox fall to 81-62 and that means 19 games remain on the schedule.

After a day off Monday, the Sox begin a series vs the lowly Oakland A's. Tuesday's pregame will begin at 6:25 with the 1st pitch at 7:10 on AM 1370 WDEA.
