Pirate Festival & Ghost Tours Saturday At Fort Knox [VIDEO]

Swashbuckling sword fights, duels, cannon fire and a pirate ship attack are lined up for Saturday at Fort Knox and in Bucksport!

Look for the pirate ship "Must Roos" on the Penobscot River as the Pirates of the Dark Rose invade the area in search of booty!  You can even get on board with them and participate in a real attack on the Fort....well almost like a real attack.  WATCH THE VIDEO, IT REALLY IS QUITE EXCITING!

The "Must Roos" pirate ship can only take on six passengers, so you have to CALL RIGHT NOW TO RESERVE YOUR SPACE! 469-6553.

Here's the schedule for the "Must Roos" that will depart from the Bucksport Town Dock which is directly across from the Bucksport Post Office:

9 AM, 10:15 AM, 11:30 AM, 2 PM, 3:15 PM, 4:30 PM, and 5:45 PM. The charge for the pirate ship sail is $25 per person for an hour cruise and cannon firing.  Hey, you have to love a good "cannon firing!"

You're encouraged to dress like a pirate for the festivities, hey you'll fit right in! The events happen at Fort Knox in Prospect and due to limited parking car pooling is encouraged!

11AM - Captain Crudbeard’s Cannon Shooting Lesson.
12N -  Pirate Parade and Costume Contest
1PM - Pirate Ship Attack with Cannons, Flintlocks, and Cutlasses in front of the Fort.
1:45PM -Talk Like a Pirate Contest.
2:15PM - Treasure Hunt
3PM - Pirate Weapons Demonstration with grappling hooks, pikes, boarding axes, whips, swords, pistols, and blunderbuss.

An added bonus!  Guided Ghost Tours will be held at the Fort Saturday night!!  The tours will be lead by the East Coast Ghost Trackers, and they'll happen at 7, 8 and 10PM.  Bring a flashlight.  Advanced registration is required by calling 469-6553, the cost is $15.
