National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day is observed on December 7 to remember and honor all those who died in the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.

The country will stop for a moment today to remember the  anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attacks.  It’s “a date that will live in infamy,” proclaimed President Franklin D. Roosevelt after the attacks by the Japanese on the United States pacific fleet on December 7, 1941.  The aerial assault killed over 2,400 U.S. service members and thrust the country into World War II. On August 23, 1994, The United States Congress, designated December 7 of each year as National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. So, on this day, December 7th 2015, 74 years later, we still remember
