I have said it before and I am proud to say it again, the best part about Maine is that Mainers take care of Mainers and those that they love! That was never more evident than on Saturday, March 4th during our annual Ton of Pasta food drive in Ellsworth.

With wind chills 15 to 20 below zero, thanks to the generosity of our listeners and the Ellsworth community, WDEA AM 1370 was able to collect the equivalent of 3234 pounds of pasta from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Ellsworth Hannaford. Even though our hands, feet and face were frozen, our hearts were warm thanks to your generosity. All the pasta that we collected in Ellsworth was given to the Emmaus Homeless Shelter and Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry.
