David Ortiz cemented his place in Red Sox history, hitting his 400th and 401st home runs in a Red Sox uniform as the Red Sox came back to defeat the Houston Astros 10-7 on Saturday, August 16th at Fenway Park.

Ortiz, now joins Ted Williams and Carl Yastrzemski as the only two players to have hit 400 home runs for the Boston Red Sox. Pretty good company, given that Williams and Yaz are in the Hall of Fame. Ortiz is now 51 homers behind Yaz for second place in Red Sox history. Ted Williams holds the franchise record with 521. For his career, Ortiz now has 459 home runs, having hit 58 for the Twins before being traded to the Red Sox.

The Red Sox and Astros conclude their series this afternoon at Fenway Park, with the pregame starting at 12:50 PM and first pitch at 1:35 PM on AM 1370 WDEA.
