Orono Man Accused of Killing Glenburn Teen Indicted on Burglary Charge

A Penobscot County grand jury has handed up an indictment on burglary charges against the Orono man already charged in the death of 16-year-old Nichole Cable of Glenburn.

Kyle Dube, 20, was indicted on burgalry and theft by unauthorized taking charges on Wednesday. The most recent charges stem from a residential burglary in Kenduskeag unrelated to the Cable murder.

Dube is awaiting trial on murder and kidnapping charges in connection with the death of Nichole Cable, who went missing on Mother’s Day after leaving her mother’s house to meet someone she said she knew. She thought she was meeting another teen she had been talking to on Facebook, but police say it was actually an account that had been opened by Dube under an assumed name.

Dube has pleaded not guilty to the murder and kidnapping charges.

Dube was one of 48 people indicted by the grand jury on Wednesday. A grand jury decides whether the state has enough evidence to charge a person with a serious crime.
