Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in his home overnight. One person was killed while a second person is in intensive care.

Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland said in press release that David Grant, age 61, was found dead at his home Tuesday night. A second man is being treated at a Bangor hospital for serious injuries.

Grant's body was taken to the State Medical Examiner's office in Augusta where an autopsy is underway. The name of the man who was injured and the extent of his injuries are not being released, at this time. McCausland says the man is being treated in the intensive care unit at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.

Grant lived at 114 Packard Road in Parkman, which is near Dexter. The Piscataquis County Sheriff's Department was called to the house late last night and they were joined by a team of State Police detectives, who are still gathering evidence at the scene.

We will continue to update this story as more details become available.
