The MDI Trojans were no-hit by Rachel Martin of the Old Town Coyotes on a cold blustery day on Saturday, May 23rd in Bar Harbor, and lost to the Coyotes 13-0 in a mercy rule shortened game after 6 innings.

Martin struck out 10, and walked 1. Only 2 MDI batters reached base all day; Cassidy Parady on an error in the bottom of the 3rd inning and Madison Thornton via a walk in the bottom of the 6th inning.

Haley Littlefield took the loss for MDI. She pitched 5 innings, allowing 9 runs, 4 of which were earned. She allowed 10 hits, struck out 1 and walked 4. Madison Thornton pitched the last inning for MDI allowing 4 runs, 1 of which was earned on 2 hits. She didn't strike out or walk any Coyotes.

Rachel Martin was 2-4 for Old Town with 2 doubles. Lauren Martin was 2-4 with 3 RBIs and a double. Brittany Cousins was 1-3 with a RBI. Karah Hussey was 1-5 with a double. Kayla Madden was 2-4 with 2 RBIs. Lauren Gasaway was 1-2 and Kayla Hayward was 2-4 with 3 RBIs.

Old Town is now a perfect 14-0 on the season. Their 2 remaining games are away against Orono on Thursday May 28th and home against Hermon on Tuesday June 2nd.
