Old Town Baseball Shuts Out Ellsworth 14-0

The Old Town Coyotes Baseball Team beat the Ellsworth Eagles 14-0 on Thursday, April 28th in Ellsworth. Old Town banged out 10 hits while Ellsworth managed 3 in the game.

Avery Anderson was 2-2 with with 2 singles for Ellsworth and Nick Bagley had Ellsworth's other hit.

Kaleb Gifford pitched the first 3 innings for Old Town allowing 1 hit and striking out 3. Ethan Stoddard pitched the last 2 innings, allowing 2 hits, walking 1 and striking out 5.

For Ellsworth, Matthew Burnett went 4.2 innings allowing 14 runs, 5 of which were earned. He gave up 9 hits, walked 6 and struck out 2.  Avery Anderson pitched the last .1 inning, allowing 1 hit.

For Old Town, Drew Columbe was 2-3 with a double and 2 RBI's. Ethan Stoddard was 2-3 with a double and 2 RBI's. Cole Daniel was 2-4. Kaleb Gifford had a single and RBI. Austin Sheehan had a single and 2 RBI's. TJ Crawford had a single and Nick Swift had a single.

Ellsworth's defense allowed 3 errors.
