CNN is reporting that four people are dead, including the suspected shooter, after a shooting spree at the huge Texas army base, Fort Hood. 16 additional people are said to be wounded.

Reports of a shooting began after base residents were told to 'shelter in place.' CNN reported that sirens were going off at the base and classes at nearby Central Texas College were canceled for the evening.

So far, there seems to be no known motive for the shootings. The base's commander, Lieutenant General Mark Milley told CNN the suspect had behavioral and mental health issues.

The incident is reminiscent of November 5th, 2009 when Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan opened fire at Fort Hood, killing 13 people and injuring 32.
