Old Town's Eric Hoogterp is Maine's Mr. Baseball John Winkin Award winner for 2015. The honor goes to the state's best high school senior player.

Hoogterp helped his Old Town Coyotes complete a unbeaten regular season - the only team in the state to go undefeated in the regular season.

He was named PVC player-of-the-year and pitcher-of-the-year.

The Winkin Award is named after the late John Winkin who coaches at Colby, UMaine and Husson.

The award began in 1992. The only other Old Town players to win Mr. Baseball was Jarret Lukas in 2007.
