The Maine Principals' Association is looking for a new television partner for high school basketball tournament coverage after MPBN has told the MPA it can only do the state championship games.

In a request for proposals, MPA executive director Dick Durost says, "our major television partner (MPBN) has informed us that, due to a lack on equipment and manpower, they will no longer be able to broadcast any regional semi-final or finals games. Therefore, we are opening up those games as well as state games for interested providers to make bid proposals..."

MPBN has broadcast tournament games since 1979.

The MPA is accepting bids through November 13th.

The 2016 High School Basketball Tournament begins in February.
