MMA’s Thayer Named to MMBCWA All-Rookie Team

Former Hermon Hawk, Tyler Thayer was named to the Maine Men’s Basketball Coaches and Writers Association All-Rookie  (MMBCWA) Team.

Playing for Maine Maritime Academy during the 2014-15 season, Thayer led the Mariner's Men's Team in minutes played per game (32.6) and assists (2.5), while ranking second in points per game (12.3). The freshman guard shot 38.3 percent from the field, and 71.6 percent from the line.

The Marine Engineering Operations major recorded a season-high 22 points against Maine-Presque Isle on November 19 and a season-high 15 rebounds on February 18 at Thomas.
