Missing Ellsworth’s Man’s Body Located

I'm saddened to report that the Ellsworth Police Department announced Tuesday night, that the body of 28-year-old Matthew LaForest was located around 5 PM and recovered from Taunton Bay in Hancock by members of the Maine Marine Patrol. The cause of death is unknown at this time. An autopsy at the Medical Examiner’s Office will be conducted tomorrow.

LaForest was last seen on Thursday, June 18th at 8 a.m. His vehicle was found that day in Hancock at the turnout near the Sullivan Bridge.
