The Red Sox are back to the .500 mark. It doesn't seem like much but they tried nine times since April to get there and thanks to Wednesday night's 4-3 win over Cincinnati it finally happened. The Sox are 17-17 and have a day off before playing in Texas over the weekend.

While Jake Peavey worked the first six innings on the hill, giving up three runs, the offense was stranding 13 runners through the first seven innings.

But in the 8th inning, Will Middlebrooks came up with the key RBI hit to give the Sox the lead. Koji Uehara struck out the side in the 9th to end it.
