It was a cool and damp morning in Bar Harbor on Memorial Day, May 30, 2016 but that didn't stop about 150 members of the public and the Connors-Emerson band from gathering at the Town Pier in Bar Harbor for a Memorial Day Remembrance. Here are some sights and sounds from the morning.

Major Amy Cartmell of the United States Army presented several medals to Sean Hall in honor of his father, Captain Walter Hall who went missing in action during the Vietnam War. He was presented with the Distinguished Flying Cross, Purple Heart, the Air Medal and the National Defense Service Medal, among others.

Members of the Coast Guard laid a wreath overboard in the Atlantic Ocean just off the pier in honor of all those who died in service to the United States.
