I have the utmost respect and admiration for Megan Phelps. I have watched her grow up to become a beautiful, well-spoken young lady. When she gave the eulogy for her father, Scott Phelps, my admiration just increased ten-fold and I became even more convinced that she was going to succeed in whatever she does in life.

Megan graduated from Bowdoin College in 2015. She was a two year captain at Bowdoin and appeard in 91 games for the Women's Basketball Team. She finished her playing career with 696 points and 513 rebounds and helped to lead the Polar Bears to 3 NCAA Tournament appearances including getting into the Sweet 16 Round twice.

This past summer, Phelps worked at the MDI Islander, covering sports. She is now at Regis College, pursuing her Masters in Communications and is the Assistant Coach for the Women's Basketball Team.

In her first year as an Assistant Coach, the Regis pride are 13-2 and 9-0 in Conferencee play. You can follow their season HERE.

I know you'll join me in wishing her and the Pride the best of luck in the the rest of their season,
