MDI vs. Central Wednesday

The MDI Boy's Basketball Team plays Central High School Wednesday afternoon, February 22nd at 2:05 PM in the Class B North Semifinals. You can hear the game on AM 1370 WDEA, on WDEA Internet Radio and on our free downloadable APP sponsored by First National Bank beginning at 1:50 PM.

MDI the number 2 seed is 16-3 and Central the 3 seed also is 16-3. MDI and Central met once earlier this season, back on February 2nd, when MDI beat Central 73-40 in East Corinth. Central's other two losses came at the hands of Ellsworth back on December 14th 46-43 and to Hermon on January 18th 47-31.

Central's Caleb Shaw was named to the 1st Team Big East All Conference Team, and Andrew Speed was named to the Honorable Mention All Conference Team in the Big East Conference Awards

MDI's Riley Swanson was named to the 1st Team Big East All Conference Team and Andrew Phelps and Russell Kropff were named to the Honorable Mention All Conference Team.

The winner of the MDI-Central game will play in the Class B North Finals on Saturday, February 25th at 3:45 PM against the winner of the number 1 seed Hermon vs. number 4 seed Orono game.
