MDI Volleyball Sweeps Cony 3-0

The MDI Volleyball Team swept the Cony Rams this afternoon in a match played at Bernard Parady Gym in Bar Harbor. MDI won the games 25-3, 25-9 and 25-13. With the victory, MDI improves to 3-0 on the season and Cony falls to 0-2.

Sarah Phelps 2 aces, 5 kills, 4 assists

From Coach Corey:

MDI followed up their strong finish against Ellsworth with a convincing victory against Cony.  We really got a sense of how deep our team is this year, with everyone contributing in the victory.  The team has been working hard and everyone is improving and it was great to see that today.  The girls carried their intensity from the match against Ellsworth into this match, and the things we have been working on paid off today.  We made far less mistakes and the decision making process was sound throughout.  It was very impressive.  We face some tough teams up in the next two weeks, including WA, Greely and Gorham, and we need to continue building on this.
