The MDI Volleyball Team traveled to Southern Maine this past weekend, and lost both matches, losing to Yarmouth in straight sets 0-3 with game scores 13-25, 13-25 and 20-25 and then losing to Gorham in straight sets 0-3 with game scores 22-25, 18-25 and 15-25.

Despite losing both matches, Coach Corey Papadopoli is optimistic

While the results were not what we would have liked, the effort and the development we saw this weekend show us we're heading in the right direction. We played two tough teams in Yarmouth and Gorham and while at times we struggled to put points on the board, the defense and hustle were well beyond anything we've seen from this team to date! They were up to the challenge and played hard. It was a lot of fun to watch them play at this level and against these type of teams. While we still have a fair amount of work ahead, we are starting to feel lie the team is improving their level of intensity and the results of that effort were apparent to anyone that watched this team play!
