I spoke with Coach Corey, the head coach for the MDI Volleyball team this morning, and we spoke about the upcoming week, the good and bad things from last weekend's losses in Portland and more. Click to listen

The MDI Trojans are in action tonight as they host the Bucksport Golden Bucks at 5 PM, and then on Monday, October 7th they go to Ellsworth to play the Ellsworth Eagles at 5 PM.

Coach Corey provided the following recap and stats from last weekend's games

MDI faced two tough opponents this weekend and came up a little short.  Against Greely on Friday night, with leads late in the first two games, MDI was unable to capitalize.  We played better than I would have thought at the beginning of the season, showing that we could play with last year’s state champion.  Some things were working for us and some things weren’t.  But it shows us we’re headed in the right direction and with a little cleaner play the outcome could have been different.  Against Gorham, we played 4 close games but again could not finish.  Hitting and serving were better and kept us in all the games.  We’re halfway through our season and at a better place than I thought we would be at this point.  We still have a lot to do but most of it comes down to just getting the reps in and doing it consistently.
