MDI Upsets Hermon 3-1

The MDI Boy's Baseball Team picked up a HUGE Heal Point Win on Thursday, May 12th, upsetting Hermon 3-1. Hermon was on top of the Heal Point standings, and the win by MDI jumped the Trojans up 6 places into the middle of the standings.

MDI scored 3 runs in the the bottom of the 1st inning. Ezra Johnson, Nick Stanley and Riley Swanson all singled and scored as the Trojans batted around in the 1st inning.

Hermon's lone run came in the top of the 5th inning. Justin Davis reached on a fielder's choice and scored on Mark Mailloux's single.

Dylan Collins pitched the complete game for the Trojans for the win. He allowed 6 hits. Mailloux had 2 singles, Garrett Trask had a single , Christian Greener had a single and Kent Johnson had a single for the Hawks.

Zach Nash pitched for the Hermon Hawks. He allowed 5 hits. Ezra Johnson had 2 singles, Nick Stanley, Riley Swanson, and Jacob Mitchell all had singles for the Trojans.

MDI is now 4-6. The Trojans are off until Thursday, May 19th when they play at Old Town at 4:30 PM.

Hermon is now 9-2. The Hawks host Old Town on Tuesday, May 17th at 4:30 PM
