MDI Softball, Baseball Postponed To Wednesday

Mother Nature you need to take your rain and go away... There are playoff games to be played!

The MDI softball game against Oceanside has been postponed until Wednesday, June 6 at 4 p.m. because of wet fields. The Trojans are the #14 seed with a 9-7 record. The will play the #3 seed the Oceanside Mariners.The Mariners have a 13-3 record. The game will be played at Drinkwater Field in Rockland. The address of the field is 117 Thomaston Street in Rockland. The winner of the prelim game will play the winner of the #6 Medomak Valley - #11 Presque Isle prelim, on Thursday, June 7th.

The Trojans baseball game is postponed until Wednesday, June 6 at 4 p.m. The Trojans are the #3 seed and just missed being the #2 seed by 0.3125 points. As the #3 seed, they will host a prelim game on Tuesday, June 5th against the #14 seed, the Caribou Vikings at 4 PM. MDI and Caribou split a doubleheader back on April 28th. We will broadcast that prelim game on AM 1370 WDEA, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device Should MDI advance, they would host the winner of the prelim game between #6 Gardiner and #11 Belfast. That game would likely be Thursday, June 7th.
