The MDI Trojan's Softball Team fell to the John Bapst Crusaders on Wednesday in Bar Harbor, losing by the score of 6-5, as the defense committed multiple errors in the 5th inning which allowed John Bapst to take the lead.

MDI's defense at times played well including a fantastic diving catch of a foul ball in the 5th inning by Julianna Cleaves.

MDI's Ali Bender had a double. MDI did battle back scoring 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning and had the tying runner on 2nd in the bottom of the 7th before stranding the runner.

Madison Thornton was in the circle for MDI, pitching to Avalon Kerley.

Kayla Massey pitched for John Bapst, and her catcher was Gina Cambria.

Massey had a triple and Beth Spears and Cambria each had doubles for the Crusaders.

MDI now 0-3 plays at Hermon on Thursday, April 28th at 4:30. John Bapst, 3-0 will play host to Old Town Saturday afternoon at Husson at 2 PM.
