The MDI Boys played in Caribou on Saturday afternoon, October 3rd, and came away with a 5-0 shutout over the Vikings.

Zakari Charette scored the 1st goal for the Trojans, and the eventual game winnier with an assist from Rye Murray.

Charette scored his second, and the teams second when he dribble through the defense and put the ball in the back of the net, to make it 2-0 Trojans.

It was 3-0 when Joe Grubb headed in the ball, after Eli McDonnell took the corner kick.

Avery Lavelle made it 4-0 Trojans when he scored off of Charette's assist.

Not to be outdone, Jose Chumbra scored his first varsity goal, with a finishing shot, after the Caribou goalkeeper's deflection of a shot rebounded off the crossbar.

Kendrew Van Gorder and Andrew Jewett combined for the shutout for the Trojans. Van Gorder played 70 minutes and Jewett the last 10.

MDI now 5-3-1 plays host to Washington Academy on Tuesday, October 6th at 4:30. Caribou, 3-5-2 plays at Fort Kent, Wednesday, October 7th at 7 PM.
