MDI Shuts Out Old Town 4-0

The MDI Boy's Baseball Team shut out the Old Town Coyotes 4-0 in a game played in Bar Harbor, Saturday afternoon, May 24th.

Steven Hanscom pitched a complete game for the win, allowing just 4 hits, striking out 5 and walking 1.

MDI scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning on a RBI single by Riley Swanson and plated 3 more runs on and error by the Old Town shortstop and a fielders choice . MDI had 4 hits in the game, with singles by Riley Swanson, Jon Phelps, Sandy Henggeler and Cordell Soper.

MDI is now 7-5 on the season. They play John Bapst in Bangor on Tuesday, May 27th at 4:30 and then host Caribou in a doubleheader Saturday, May 31 at 12 noon and 2 PM.

Old Town is 5-5 and host Orono Thursday May 29th at 4:30 and then play John Bapst in a doubleheader Saturday May 31 at 11 AM and 1 PM. They still have to play a doubleheader at Presque Isle as well that was rained out.
