The MDI Trojans traveled to Dover-Foxcroft on Friday, October 11, and not many of the so-called experts gave the Trojans much of a chance against the Ponies. After all, MDI lost to Nokomis last weekend, and Foxcroft Academy was going to be mad after losing at home to Waterville, and they were the defending Class C Champions. Well, no one told the MDI Trojans, as they came out, and defeated Foxcroft Academy 21-14 under a beautiful night.

The MDI Defense came to play, as they held Foxcroft Academy to just 96 yards in the first half and 263 yards in the game.

Foxcroft scored first, as Hunter Law scored on a 12 yard run and when Nate Church kicked the extra point, the Ponies were up on top 7-0 with 6:40 remaining in the 1st Quarter.

MDI answered with 52 seconds left in the 1st Quarter when Sandy Henggeler bulled in from 1 yard out. Jon Phelps kicked the extra point and the score was tied 7-7 and stayed that way through halftime.

MDI scored with 2:18 left in the 3rd Quarter, as Taner Bickford scored from 2 yards out, and Phelps kicked the extra point. MDI led 14-7. The drive took 3:19.

MDI's defense stopped Foxcroft Academy twice in the second half on 4th and short yardage to stop the Ponies in their tracks. But Foxcroft scored with 2:44 left in the game, as Corey Bjornson scored on a 31 yard run, and when Church kicked the extra point the score was tied 14-14. The drive lasted 4:10

MDI wasn't to be denied, as they scored with 6 seconds remaining in the game, as Tegan Candage scored from 5 yards out. Phelps converted the extra point, and the Trojans were victorious 21-14!
