MDI Pet Food Pantry Food Drive

Did you know there was a Pet Food Pantry to help owners of pets living on Mount Desert Island and it just turned 9 years old? Located in the Bar Harbor Food Pantry, if you need assistance you can call Diana de los Santos at (207) 461-2871. The Swan Agency in Bar Harbor is helping to spearhead the Annual Food Drive for the Pet Food Pantry, which will take place Monday November 20th through Tuesday, November 28th (Giving Tuesday).

Please drop off your donations of dry and or canned cat and dog food, cat litter, dog/cat treats to the The Swan Agency Sotheby's International Realty's Bar Harbor Office at 43 Cottage Street. Food for rabbits, birds, ferrets, gerbils, horses and any other animals are also gladly accepted.

If you would rather send a check or drop off cash, representatives from the Swan Agency Sotheby's International Realty will go buy the pet food and add to the pile.

The mission of the MDI Pet Food Pantry is  to help those in need with feeding their pets/animals. The numbers of pets/animals being abandoned or given up at shelters is alarming. Hopefully the MDI Pet Food Pantry can contribute in a way to keep those numbers from growing on Mount Desert Island..
