The MDI Girl's Soccer team improved to 3-1-1 on the season with a hard fought victory over the Caribou Vikings on Saturday, September 21st in a game played in Bar Harbor.

Caribou took an early lead, as Bria Judd scored in the first half, and Caribou led 1-0 at the end of the first half. But MDI came out ready in the second half, with Opal Curless netting her first goal of the game with just 20 seconds gone, and the game was knotted 1-1. Curless then put MDI ahead for good, when she scored her second goal, with 25:05 left in the game.

Caribou had 8 total shots and Hannah Shaw made 6 saves for MDI.  MDI had 18 total shots and Caribou's keeper Carla Collins made 16 saves.

Up next, MDI travels to Ellsworth to play the Ellsworth Eagles on Thursday September 26th at 6 PM, and that game will be heard on WDEA AM1370 as well as on WDEA Internet Radio. Ellsworth also has a 3-1-1 record, after losing to Hermon 2-0 on Saturday, September 21st.
