MDI Girls Fall to Hermon 52-42

The MDI Girl's Basketball Team suffered their 1st loss of the 2016-17 Season in Hermon on Friday, December 16th, falling to the Hermon Hawks 52-42.

Hermon led 12-11 at the end of the 1st Quarter and had a 24-22 lead at the Half. But Hermon outscored MDI by 10 points in the 3rd Quarter, 14-4, to take a 38-26 lead. Although MDI outscored Hermon 16-13 in the final Quarter it wasn't enough to cut the deficit, and Hermon won 52-42.

MDI was led by Maddy Candage with 12 points while Abbe Miller had 9. Miller and Alexis Clarito each had a 3-pointer. MDI was 4-8 from the free throw line but shot only 32% from the field.

Hermon was led by Maddie Pullen with 13 points while Alex Allain had 9. Pullen had 2 3-pointers, Chloe Raymond and Madisyn Curtis each had 1 3-pointer. Hermon was 14-23 from the free throw line and shot 48.6% from the field.

MDI now 2-1 will play John Bapst at home on Tuesday, December 20th at 7 PM.

Hermon is 2-1 and plays at Foxcroft Academy on Tuesday, December 20th at 7 PM.
