MDI Girls – Big East Champs

Congratulations to the MDI Girl's Basketball Team who were declared the Big East Champions for the 2nd consecutive year.

The Trojans finished the year with a 17-1 record, tied with Houlton, who also finished at 17-1. The Trojans defeated Houlton 47-41 when the two schools met on December 19th.

The Houlton Shiretowners finished as the #1 seed while MDI finished 2nd in the Heal Point Standings.

MDI will play the winner of the #7 Hermon (10-7) - #10 Washington Academy prelim game on Friday February 12th at 6:30 PM at the Cross Insurance Center on the opening night of Tourney 2016. That game will be broadcast on WDEA AM 1370 and WDEA Internet Radio.
