The MDI Boy's Soccer Team closed out the regular season on Monday, October 17th in Hermon, beating the Hermon Hawks 6-1. The win, gave the Trojans a 4 game winning streak as they enter the playoffs.


MDI started the scoring with a penalty kick taken by Joe Grubb with 25:54 remaining in the 1st Half,  Griffin Maristany would add one more for MDI with 12:32 remaining to give MDI a 2-0 lead at the end of the 1st Half.

MDI came out strong in the 2nd Half.  MDI's Owen Mild scored  with just 2:39 gone (37:21 remaining) assisted by Adam Bygdeson.  3 minutes later Joe Grubb would get his second of the night.  Eli McDonnell scored for MDI at with  31:49 remaining, assisted by Joe Grubb. that made the score 5-0

Hermon would get on the board with  29:24 remaining on a penalty kick by Matt Leach.

Joe Grubb completed the hat trick for the Trojans with  23:13 remaining, assisted by Griffin Maristany.

MDI finishes the regular season with a 6-6-2 record and will finish either 6th or 7th in the Heal Point Standings and will host a prelim game tentatively scheduled for Friday, October 21st against either the 11th seeded team if they finish 6th or 10th seeded team if they finish 7th.

Hermon finishes the regular season with a 5-8-1 mark.
