MDI Boys 69 John Bapst 39 [PHOTOS]

The MDI Boys played host to John Bapst Monday, January 12th and came away with a 69-39 victory over the Crusaders at Bernard Parady Gymnasium.

MDI jumped out to a 14-6 at the end of the 1st Quarter. Drew Rich had 4 points including aq 3-pointer, Riley Swanson had a 3-pointer and Russell Kropff had 3 points for the Trojans.  A.J. Shaw had 2 3-pointers for all of John Bapst's 6 points.

At the end of the 1st Half, MDI was up 28-18. James O'Donnell had 4 points in the Quarter for MDI as did Kropff. Shaw had another 3-pointer for John Bapst, as did Nate Smith.

After the 3rd Quarter MDI was up 45-26. In the 3rd Quarter Swanson had a 3-pointer for MDI, Graham Good scored 3 points and Drew Rich had 5 more points. For the Crusaders, Alex Mooney had 6 points in the Quarter, and Tom Feng scored 2.

In the 4th Quarter, MDI scored 24 points as the bench came up big for the Trojans. Andrew Phelps had 6 points including a 3-pointer, Devin Parlatore scored 4 points and Jake Boumil had 3 points. For the Crusaders Mooney had 6 points, Elliott Soucy had 3 points, Tom Hanscom had 2 points and Zac Lakeman had 2 points.

MDI was led by Russell Kropff with 11 points, Drew Rich had 9 points and Andrew Phelps and James O'Donnell each had 8 points.  MDI was 11-25 from the free throw line.

John Bapst was led by Alex Mooney with a game high 14 points and A.J. Shaw had 10 points.

MDI is now 4-6 and plays host to Foxcroft Academy on Wednesday January 14th at 7 PM in a game that will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA and WDEA Internet Radio.

John Bapst is now 0-9 and plays at Hermon on Wednesday, January 14th at 7 PM.
